Lamb upon the CrossLamb upon the Cross was started and finished in 10 days during the end of June and beginning of July 2009. God allowed a trying time in my life to motivate me into translating a message from Him which is simply about His Son and the sacrifice on the cross. Inspite of our disappointments, failures, sins and worry, God is still there ready to receive us if we only take that step of faith through Jesus Christ confessing Him with our tongue that He is Lord. Enjoy. |

You Give Me JoyI like the way You Give Me Joy came together. Piece by piece the Lord fed me a snippet at a time and as is almost always the case, the words came after the music was actually finished. The song is also special to me as it was created in a very short space of time during January 2008 when I was inspired by the Holy Spirit after a very long period of not creating any music (I was genuinely tied up with other projects and I was also a bit down on inspiration to create music). The theme here rests on St. Paul's proclamation of being satisfied with whatever state he finds himself in. The Peace of God which passes all understanding is actually the Joy knowing that whatever our circumstances God is there with us as long as we put our Faith and Trust in Him.

Thank You LordA fabulous song which started out as a trial and error on the pc. When my dear sister Thea Wray heard me struggling to put it together, she sat at the keyboards and in one motion began to play this wonderful praise song! I spent the next 45 minutes in a flurry of excitement, putting the words together - an amazing creation which we continue to wonder just how God does it!

Glory to GodThis song came together during 2007 in a burst of inspiration spawned by work coupled with prayer. Work seemed to become more demanding in terms of teaching the new DiDA course, especially relating to the Multimedia unit and it seemed to me that I had to become increasingly creative during my spare time in order to deliver creative lessons! It is also satisfying to know that students were inspired by my willingness to help them during lunch time to become creative within their own projects and it certainly showed in the results!

Hymn of ProphecyWell my first hymn so for that reason it is very special. Also it deals with the prophetic side of things which unfortunately is not preached on often enough! I am looking forward to His return and His triumph as that's what it's all about in the first place!

Draw Me Near Lord JesusOne of those reflective songs, a prayer which came to me during my time thinking of the struggle of being a Christian in a society which has forgotten the scriptures and replaced it with many evils. The difficulty of staying on the straight and narrow while fufilling the mandate laid down by Jesus i.e. to spread the Good News Gospel. My task would be impossioble without the assistance of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He gets all the Glory here for all that I have done and I constantly seek to draw nearer to Him as He is my Rock, My Light and My Salvation. |
